    SANDBAR SURF SCHOOL SURF CAMPS 

    Whether you are learning to surf for the first time or looking to improve your skills, all ages welcome. All of our Surf Instructors have current CPR/First Aid Certification and fingerprint screening through the Police Department. Some of their qualifications include Life Guard Certification and instruction, Professional Surfing Competition, and Swim instruction. Space is limited and camps fill up fast.

    CENTRAL COAST CLASSIQUE 

    A century (100), metric century (64), and 30 mile bike ride through happiest place on earth! The ride’s first 30 miles takes you through picturesque Pismo Beach and Avila Beach, to a sparkling Lopez Lake, through Edna Valley's vineyards and Huasna's Valley countryside. All rides start & finish at the Rotary Bandstand at Heritage Square Park in Arroyo Grande....and then TASTE the wines of the Central Coast for the following week.

Don't miss out on this wonderful event and come support our local Chamber, the Morro Bay High School Music Boosters, Athletic Boosters & Cheerleaders!

    80th ANNUAL ARROYO GRANDE HARVEST FESTIVAL 

    This community event is always a crowd-pleaser, with everything from parades to pie eating contests. The Harvest Festival serves as a tribute to agriculture, Arroyo Grande's leading industry. This festival focuses on the local non-profit organizations that serve the community. Bring the whole family for all of the weekend festivities

    BILLABONG'S STILL FROTHY SURF FESTIVAL 

    The Still Frothy Surf Festival is an exciting and unique 3-day event at the Pismo Beach Pier that includes the only tow-at (jet ski assist) air division on the Central Coast.

    SURFING FOR HOPE ANNUAL LONGBOARD CONTEST 

    The Surfing for Hope Annual Longboard Contest Weekend will take place on October 1st, 2016, in Pismo Beach, California. This event is designed to help inspire people challenged by cancer through the positive energy of surfing. Surfing is the ideal format to help people in this situation by showing how positive and healthful our sport is and it gives the surfing community the opportunity to give back to people in need by sharing what we love.

    BUBBLYFEST BY THE SEA

    70TH ANNUAL PISMO BEACH CLAM FESTIVAL 

    A community tradition since 1946, the Pismo Beach Clam Festival features a live parade, best local chowder contest, surf contest, food, Beer & Wine Garden and Pier Pub, music and the Friday night wine walk.

    40th ANNUAL JUBILEE BY THE SEA JAZZ FESTIVAL 

    This premier west coast jazz event features many of the most sought-after traditional jazz bands from across the nation, including 20 bands and several guest artists performing at five venues, all connected by a shuttle bus system. New Orleans-style jazz, big band performances, dancing, food and beverages are available. New to the festival this year are two Thursday night kick-off events including Oktoberfest featuring the Mud Skippers and WE 3 with special guest Larry Scala, followed by the highly anticipated Swing Dance Saturday Night event.

    SLO WINE COUNTRY'S HARVEST ON THE COAST WEEKEND 

    Join us for a weekend full of wine and fun, including winemaker dinners featuring great local cuisine paired with the best wines from SLO Wine Country. On Saturday, over 50 wineries and restaurants will be participating at the biggest harvest party of the year at the beautiful Avila Beach Resort. Sample great wine and food, bid on live and silent auction lots, and enjoy music and more. Saturday attendees will also receive free admission to Sunday open houses at participating wineries.

    38th ANNUAL MARCHING BAND REVIEW 

    Marching Bands from around the area compete in several divisions in this annual event. Bands compete on Dolliver between Hinds and Main Streets from approximately 9am-12pm. Awards will be presented on the pier.

    VETERANS DAY CELEBRATION ON THE PIER 

    Celebrate and remember our nation's heroes for a Memorial Service on the pier. Program begins at 11am.

    5TH ANNUAL SOUTH COUNTY TURKEY TROT AT THE BEACH 

    The 5th annual South County Turkey Trot at the Beach presented by the Grover Beach - 5 Cities Rotary Club, a benefit for the SLO Food Bank in memory of Christine Allen will be held Thanksgiving morning, November 24h, at 8:30 am rain or shine. Sign up at the south side of the Pier. Pismo Beach Mayor Shelly Higginbotham will kick off the race. Entry Fee $1 Cash Donation, sign up on the South side of the Pismo Pier. T-Shirts available.

    HOLIDAY HARMONY & TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY

    Join us for Holiday Harmony, a FREE fun-filled family event from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm and take place at the Pismo Beach Pier. Kids activities include fresh snow, photos with Santa, cookie decorating and bounce houses. The Downtown Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place at the Pismo Beach Pier at 6 pm.
